International Business applied to the Ecuadorian context
This work examines the strategic role of international negotiation within contemporary processes of economic globalization and foreign trade, analyzing how transformations in the global economic system have redefined the way countries participate in global markets. Using an approach that integrates international economics, business management, and global value chain analysis, the book addresses the dynamics of productive cooperation, trade competition, and agreement-building among economic actors from diverse cultural and political contexts. The analysis focuses particularly on the Ecuadorian case, highlighting the country's export structure, its integration into international markets, and the challenges associated with productive diversification and increasing the added value of its exports. It also explores the human dimensions of negotiation, including emotional intelligence, intercultural communication, and the management of divergent interests. In this way, the work offers a comprehensive perspective that combines theoretical foundations and practical tools to strengthen negotiation skills in international arenas.
