The main objective of our report on the Amazon is to help prevent the biome and the basin from reaching a point of catastrophic and irreversible change and motivate people to act. This change will require high-level political commitment, a transformation in the production models in the Amazon and a new scale of financing and implementation of conservation and sustainable development models, coordination of efforts with the local population and collaboration between partners from different sectors.
