Reseña

One of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung's main areas of focus is working with young people involved in politics at the national, regional, and global levels. Youth: Unfinished Business is a regional project run by the FES in Latin America and the Caribbean that aims to gather and discuss reliable information and data on young people's political participation and attitudes in the region.

As part of this project, between January and February 2024, a survey was conducted among nearly 22,000 young people in 14 countries in the region using a web panel methodology. The survey was carried out by the company YouGov.
The participating countries were: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
The questionnaire administered in each country contained questions aimed at understanding the forms, modes, and motivations of political participation, positions on current issues, perceptions of democracy, and the use of social media for political purposes.

This document presents a compilation of the main results of the fourteen national reports.
